With all the concern about Oz losing manufacturing would it not be great if Scandium could be a new major industry catalyst . The biggest use for SC appears likely to remain in aluminium alloy. Oz has vast deposits of bauxite and we are now seeing strong deposits of SC emerging. Therefore it makes sense to me to develop a scandium alloy manufacturing industry here instead of making the same old mistake of digging up and selling our raw minerals without value adding. Oz could have led the World in rare earths back from the 50's, but just exported all our monazite, ilmenite, rutile ans zircon. Adding to the current 3 deposits of Sc in Oz, I also, with partners, have a Sc deposit of as yet unknown size, but high values. Mining history shows that the more you look the more you find.
