    Eagle,

Are you suggesting the Australian populace are 'needy' in comparison to the world as a whole? I didn't think so, nor would they if given the chance to assess their situation compared to other nations and peoples. But you are well entitled to describe Australia as a 'needy' country if you wish, I prefer to think of us quite differently.

On the subject of our Govt.'s response to economic matters, well we still await it don't we. Idealogoically they have done nothing but mouth the words one would expect from any Govt. in this situation. However, whilst we here or impending promises to "do whatever it takes" we are yet to see action, nation building announcements or true leadership that inspires us.

Its been over twelve months that this Govt. has been in office and in charge of the economy. Plenty of time to determine their course of action, but so far all we've had is their forecasts and predictions of gloom. Hardly inspiring really.

What is the brave new idealogical agenda of this Govt.?
