I read this posting over on the BUY thread by "Steamer". Does anyone know whether this is correct, and if it is, why the information wasnt provided to investors - I do not recall reading it anywhere in fact have seen everywhere this drill notified as the first in the offshore Sydney basin...

I'm puzzled that the Seaclem partners continue to claim their well is the first offshore well in NSW (see CEO Kelso's comment in Bounty's latest announcement).
Not so. Planet Resources Group and its spin off, NSW Oil and Gas, drilled the Sailfish No 1 well off the coast from Sydney about 1971 or 1972. The well was abandoned before reaching TD as the geology was way out from what had been predicted.
Given that the Seaclem partners appear to be unaware of the Sailfish well makes one wonder about the thoroughness of their geological investigations.
