first zone will be gas

Hole has travelled 2klms, 1 more klm to target zone-1. This is expected at around 2960m mark . Zone -1 should be gas layer , which AZA is not really interested in . It is the next Zone-2 which is more significant , being several metres of oil ~! This is where life will get interesting from then on . Mpex indicate today that the rig will be occupied through to the beginning of Oct05. So we have lots going on in the coming weeks with the Basker-2 hole .
