Just for the believers, latest Professional Fisherman, pp 8, reports that McConchie and student Weber received the Young Scientist of the Year Award for identifying a cost effective method for preventing acid sulphate run-off from cane fields, of benefit to the fisherman, or more importantly the little fish.
Yet another benefits and potential market. No, its not a contract, just another possible role for the material that is still to be commercialised effectively.
