Hi outandin, i would have driven past your home, and heres a few memories, like going over the punt to get to jerseyville? or the punt at smithtown? there was even 1 at kinchella, or when the ferries washed up on trial bay? my families farm was accross from the boys home, grandparents moved there from up sherwood in 1949, nan said that the big jewfish smashing the mullet at night kept her awake, it sounded like horses galloping in the water, my family has been in the area since the 1820s ( yes related to half of kempsey}, i have a book on early SWR and the first explorers stated that the branches of trees from opposite banks touched in the middles such was thier size and thick with vines and creepers.
I was down there in june and cant say i like the riverside hotel or the houses on them hill behind it, sort of spoils my little piece of paradise..
