Guys the stories are great! I can't wait to take a trip over to SWR! If you want an equivalent spot to take the family in WA, Kalbarri is my favourite destination.About hour and a half from Geraldton. Fishing possibilities are endless,and all sorts of pelagics from shore or rocks.The river mouth, walking distance from centre of town yields huge Tailor and Mulloway.Coastal cliffs or river gorges are world renowned!Go horse riding or hire a boat down the river to catch Mangrove Jacks an Mud Crabs, or just drop a net at the town jetty and enjoy the scenery and maybe a seal playing with fish carcasses from the fishing boats! The banks of the Murchison river aound the estuary are great for kids. It still has great country town feel but development is proceeding pretty quick. IMO it is still isolted enough to be pretty safe.
