Amazing potential when you look deeply into the following from the repost back in November by Netherland Sewell and Associates.

The two shallower Zones – X and Y – have a combined best estimate of discovered gross in-place volumes of 1.3 trillion cubic feet of gas and 1.6 billion barrels of oil, as well as unrisked gross recoverable volumes of 494.7 billion cubic feet of gas and 83.3 million barrels of oil.

The four deeper zones – Z, 180-200, 200-300 and 300-400 – have a combined best estimate of undiscovered gross in-place volumes of 12.6 trillion cubic feet of gas and 11.59 billion barrels of oil, as well as unrisked gross recoverable volumes of 934.8 billion cubic feet of gas and 140.4 million barrels of oil.

The results support Oilex’s view that the Cambay Eocene tight reservoirs contain significant quantities of oil and gas.

Netherland Sewell and Associates used a ratio of crude oil to primary gas recovered from each reservoir of 60-65% to 40-35% and identified this ratio as a key uncertainty.

The next stage of the assessment will be undertaken by Netherland Sewell and Associates once sufficient production data is available from the Cambay-76H well.
