Hi Farmboy, I've wondered about why that is also, ie: FMG up when AUD up also and I've put it down to overseas investors selling when the AUD is going down to avoid currency exchange losses and vice versa when the AUD is expected to rise.
It's a two edged sword I guess with the AUD but I'd say we are in for a period of stability with the Reserve bank now shifting to a slight tightening bias which I would expect to offset US Fed tightening.
