    Locals catch kingfish at Pt Augusta, which is 50-60km north and salter again than Fitz Bay.
    There was a number successfull fish farms there for years - Southern Star (?) as well as Clean Seas.
    So I'm not convienced that is the sole reason

    I have to do some more research in this area, thanks Udendev
