My point is this: Develop local. Gas, lithium, nickel, rare earth minerals. Let the private companies create jobs and invest into projects and make a dollar for the government and shareholders. Regulate it so its impact on environment is as minimal as possible. There’s no free energy, for every action there’s an equal and opposite reaction. Use the transitional fuels, maybe uranium could have a major play if the lefties figure out the impact of rare earth mineral mining, who knows. But make that transition sustainable on your people and their families instead of bleeding them dry.
