That’s the only argument that’s to be said about that. Your argument on how mining is done, is a separate argument and can be dealt with without need for conflating the issues. Mining, including the mining of coal, has come a long way when it comes to work health and safety. It is very easy to develop mechanisms to tackle the problems about safe mining practices. If that’s the concern you have about renewables, it’s a fair one and an easy one to deal with. However, it has no implication on the argument why we need to phase out fossil fuels from our energy infrastructure.
