Mac ceased to be a substantial shareholder on 20.11.13. From then on their multi-machinations are under the radar. I believe they're facilitating, and getting fees, by lending shares to shorters; while shorting themselves.

In anticipation of "Debt Free Day" the sp will react accordingly. The next Q$ will be an inflexion point specifically concerning the debt re-payment.

The Au$ will affect the sector. BDR's Au/cost/oz remains outstanding. I believe that exploration is not the key here. (Yes, I know it's important, but still I think it's about debt.)

With this in mind, and without material news contrary to my Debt Fee Day thesis, I feel it to be imprudent to sell now.

Shorts, short covering, short squeeze being at the forefront in the short term I'm starting to wonder if this risky effort is about something else, eg. a Au producer who has sniffed around and wants BDR on the cheap? NB: This speculation is wildly optimistic.
