You could be 100% right.....I dont agree though.

A lot can happen in 5 months.

CNP is proposing to slim down the operation.

5 months gives 20 weeks to sell assets at non fire sale prices.

Firesale prices is OCV selling 65% of the Stella company for 600 million less than they were offered 4 weeks before that..but they were in a fix so fire sale it was. Accordingly...OCV may never relist....they lost too much money.

5 months also gives more time to get better rates interest wise. Interest rates in the US are about to drop another 25 points.

My 80-90 cents based on 5 months extension is pretty optimistic....but at some time in the 5 months...I bet we get there with more good news of the CNP operation becoming more streamlined to suit a sub prime crisis environment.

However...during the next week though...my guestimate is that CNP will get to around 60 cents before the announcement as we now know we have an extension...just need to know if 5 or 6 or 12 months?
