While scrunching up paper for a fire on this chilly evening I found a copy of The Australian dated 1 July 2011.
Naturally I looked at the share price of Syrah which closed on 30 June 2011 @ 12 cents. That's pretty close to a 50 bagger over the last 5 years. For interest I also looked at Copper Strike, owner of 11m shares in SYR. Its price was also 12 cents on 30/6/11. CSE sits at about a 4 bagger over the same period. Glad I was buying Syrah back then!
I also note that todays AFR had a list of the performance of the ASX200 over the last 12 months and SYR was equal 19th with a return of 64.9%.
With the forthcoming 12 months having some major milestones coming to fruition including commencement of production and details of further offtakes and the Spherical Graphite Plant economics (and maybe commencement of construction?), I think it could be another good year for all holders.
