Flag charts can be seen as a companies share price reaching the point in which eith buyers or seller have seemed to exhaust their supply. At this point the shares will either leg up or leg down into a new channel.
The simple version that either a seller has run out of shares to dump or a buyer has run out of capital to purchase.
Usually a flag confirms the most recent 'sudden' movement.
Also thanks Marty for the TA.
