He and the anti-dam campaigners who would support him have been brilliantly successful for decades -

GreenLeft Anti-Dam sentiment mostly rules right across the wide brown land in various public services and councils and water quangos-

despite our water supplies being mostly dependent on dams -

facts are no or v few significant new dams have been built for decades -

media is full of glowing accounts of wonderful desalination -

how Capetown was running out of water - Oops there -

treating poo and pee water so it can be drunk from your tap -
how the cost of water will rise -
and how we can all use less and less water -

few politicians speak up for new dams to enhance water supplies -

and when all else fails the anti-dam people have "environmental flows" so they can just flush the peoples hard earned dam water out to sea.

That is what makes the GreenLeft anti-damists and Flanneryists happy - our river water running direct to the sea.
