true, I agree. he referred to modelling that was early in its stage of development. Flannery should have been more circumspect, but the imperative was to warn Aus of the dangers that AGW presented to Aus in particular and the global economics and sustainability.
his warnings though fell on cynical ears and inspired severe disapproval and made him a target for disparagement.
most people, including Howard, took him seriously and so increased the awareness to reduce GHG emissions by installing renewable energy. the installation of solar panels has resulted, for me, in very low electricity bills, even today... in the past I was always in credit.
Flannery's "dud opinions" saved me thousands of $$$s.
