    As the shale is so dry, long shut-in increases flow by 30-40%. Only 15% of the water flows back. During shut-in, water causes more micro fracs and releases more gas.

    So it’s likely they opted for a longer soak to make absolutely sure.

    We know that this makes sense - the Beetaloo is drizabone, all y’all.

    And as part of Shock ‘n Awe, Smallfish may be on to something. Wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to hide the flare or capture the gas.
