To be honest, I think there actually could be a flare on the latest sat image. Although cloud shadow seems to be partially covering it, if you look at where the last flare was, you can make out an orange hue. Ill attach an image for easy comparison. If there was a flare in the new image it seems to be slightly left of where it was from the first image...
