So yep we had a government who could manage money well enough to offer substantial tax cuts ... and now have losers who as a result of their poor ability are scraping for every penny to hold them up until they can instigate the mother of all tax slogs, the carbon price.
Howards time was up there is no doubt ... but really another term of Howard might have proven far more prosperous in the long run than what we ended up with.
