I think the companies themselves should start complaining to ASIC and try to stop this bot selling and HighFrequency trading this way.

At the end of they day the companies are making the market without companies their would be NO stockmarket.

Maybe its time to start an alternative stockmarket where bot trading HF trading and shorting are banned.

this is a post from another poster where management is complaining to ASIC about the current trading practices in the shares of their company.

We need many more companies do the same, ALK include imho.

this is a post i copied from another thread on hotcopper for DTE (dart energy) in which i own a large number of shares and i thought to post it here as i also own a huge number of shares in lynas

spoke with Di Brockman yesterday from Dart energy and she told me that the company has made a formal complaiht to ASIC regarding months of irregular trading "high frequency" or "bot trading" as more commonly called , she also said that "black hole" trading has also occured with Bank of America's holding as they have no idea as to who they have tranferred thier shares to ,which has come to managements attention this week , but eventually it will have to become announced.so three bloody big cheers to DI and the management at Dart energy for finally taking a stancenow all we need is other companies to make formal complaints to ASIC and this will get the ball rolling in outlawing this gruby practicedid u know that 70% of trades on the new york stock exchange is done by high frequency trading , and its all done by computerso do what i've done , and bring this to ur companies attention that u own shares in that is also under the evil spell of this market manipulation , dont sit there and complain , DO SOMETHING
