    You mean a company “spun off” from Rice University? The same ppl. And yes it has been clearly communicated that there was a team already using the tech to produce graphene, if anything it proves up the tech by demonstrating it works on a commercial scale and further derisks the opportunity. Rice University control Universal Matter. MTM are working on a global licensing agreement with Rice University. Play on.

    Also one is producing Graphene from carbon sources such as food waste and plastic, the other is aiming to produce critical minerals from industrial waste, batteries and ewaste. But thanks for pointing out that Rice University has already had success in proving up the potential of FJH albeit in a slightly different application, this just goves me further confidence. Obviously MTM want the market to know this too since they plonked it smack bang in the middle of their preso at the recent Future Facing Conference:
