I had my first battery for about seven years Ophir!!
2002 Mitsubishi Mirage, 24K Kilometers, driven maybe once or twice a week.
The previous battery died for the same reason as this one, but the hatch lid was the culprit. I took the globe out that time.
Perhaps batteries are better these days, to get such a long life.
