    Gravity is the force that causes all planetary bodies and stars to coalesce into spherical bodies, above a certain size / mass (I can't remember who described it like that). Examples : Planets, stars, large moons.

    Below that size / mass limit spatial bodies don't coalesce into spheres. Examples: Asteroids, smaller moons.

    Surface tension is the property of some fluids to assume a least-energy shape (eg, a water droplet, falling) dues to electrostatic (from memory) attraction between molecular particles at a very small scale.
