    "up to heaven as a life-giving Spirit. He will return as a life-giving Spirit. "

    Context of the spirit required here mate;

    John 3:6 - That which is born of the flesh (Mary for example Gal 4:4) is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

    Hence at His Baptism, He was deemed as spirit, born now of God, results of John 1:13.
    But he there, was not a literal Spirit, and that is in line with the verse ref - Spirit life-giving.

    Now the key life giving aspect, when he was here;
    John 17:8 - For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.

    And those words - John 6:63 - It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and life.

    Meaning John 5:26 For as the Father has life in himself (John 1:4 - words) so has he given to the Son (words) to have life in Himself.
    John 6:68 - But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
