We use different and often contradictory sources for our knowledge and understanding, which means that we can seldom carry out robust debates. Even when we appear to agree, the contexts of our agreement are not the same.
For example, for a person standing on the Earth, the Earth is still, and the moon, the sun and stars are not. The reason is that motion is relative.
The debate on the Earth has been done to death with no sign of resolution or compromise because of different sources of knowledge and understanding.
Can we look at an issue from a purely Biblical point of view, because the Bible is your source of knowledge and understanding?
Can we please look into an example that is not just made up but actually occurs?
A person sins by doing wrong against his brother or sister and goes to that brother or sister seeking reconciliation and forgiveness. That person has obtained all his understanding of God through those who have sexually abused him. That person dies without acknowledging God and repending to him. Would God forsake this person even if he repented after death?
