Have you considered that each religion is revealing part of the truth that would be able to utilised by a population at a specific level of maturity to advance to newer spiritual levels of consciousness? Have you considered how religions go out of their way to contradict each other? Islam, for example, goes out of its way to contradict what Christians say about Jesus, as does Judaism. Within religions, believers contradict each other. An example is the requirements for salvation among Christian believers. In Islamic countries, the bickering between sects is often over differences in beliefs within Islam. The bickering frequently takes place over loudspeakers used to the call to prayer from Mosques in the same districts.
That revealed passionate differences rather than being part of "the truth".
