Firstly, I’m pretty sure I already did respond to your metaphor point before—possibly more than once—but I don’t mind doing so again if needed. I just ask that you extend me the same courtesy of actually engaging with what I’ve already written rather than assuming I’ve avoided it.

I'm pretty sure that I did make use of a metaphor in my discussion on forgiveness after death. If I'm wrong, I apologise.
If you don't respond to an important issue, namely that forgiveness cannot be considered or granted after death, after raising it three times before you responded to it, pointing this out to you is not lacking courtesy.
Anyway, I believe that we are both being courteous, so this tit for tat exchange is pointless.
I suggest that we leave the tit for tat exchanges to others.

We are very likely to always disagree with each other because we think and analyse information very differently.
Our source and analysis of information.
You use the Bible as your sole source of information, which you claim is error free and not subject to change and/or contradiction.
I use a variety of sources of information, including scientific publications written by scientists, historical accounts written by historians, and so on. This information is subject to error and updating, so it is not set in stone.
You see the Bible as a source mainly of actual events, and that contains all that is worthwhile knowing.
I see the Bible as a book mainly of metaphors to convey ideas of people of the authors' time, and I see errors and contradictions in their works.
You see the Bible as a source that cannot be incorrect, as it is the work of an entity (God) that is all knowing and error-free, and you use the Bible as the sole basis for the analysis of information.
I see science and philosophy as a basis for the analysis of information and which changes over time as our knowledge changes over time.
Please correct me if I have misrepresented you here.
