i know you have heard of the alternative point of view
Thats not the point
The point is on many many points in our discussions, you assume because you have heard alternative points of view on a range of things, you can generalise and do the old one size fits all approach to subjects outside of mainstream belief. If you are going to make such strong assertions about what you believe and understand on a range of issues.
Then you have to take the time to understand the opposing view, you dont have to agree with it.
But in the interests of transparency, you should take every individual as just that,an individual, not just I've heard it all before, and blacket it all into one basket.
Examples
Christianity and paganism
The catholic church
The 3 main stream or foundations from which "christian" belief originates from.
For example You constantly say,you christians on this forum dont even agree with each other, about a range of issues.
A blanket statement.
Many times i have tried to engage you to explain the discrepancy, but, because you already have a strong opinion,on your statement,if you understood the why and how,you may not agree, but at least you would understand another point of view.
Matthew 16.16 is another great example of this, although to be fair, last time you did actually want to engage on this, but i didnt have the time at that point of time, way too busy unfortunately.
Flat earth, big points of view, big statements,i presented the origin of the conflict from an alternate point of view, you missed it,then comment on the subject 4 pages after the initial presentation with TD and zbusc.
Zbusc is no different than yourself on this matter, making dogmatic comments without even knowing from which perspective i myself as an individual is presenting, straight down the one size fits all road.
