There is always doubt without an irrational faith or evidence but if you are a true believer, you will ignore everything that casts an obvious shadow over your preferred faith.
Don’t shoot the messenger just because they point out the flaws in believing that god must think you’re special or that your faith is the correct faith to follow.
If there is a god, I doubt if he has a favourite religion or has a chosen set of people.
