For the record, I’m not convinced by either side, to be honest, globe or sphere. The only thing I
am convinced of is that NASA lies constantly—that much has been proven. And I do
not believe the Earth is hurtling through space at some
ridiculous speed.
Let’s look at what they claim:
- The Earth is spinning at 1,600 km/h at the equator.
- It orbits the sun at 107,000 km/h.
- The entire solar system moves through the galaxy at 828,000 km/h.
- And the galaxy itself is supposedly flying through space at around 2.1 million km/h.
Seriously? Yet somehow, we don’t feel a thing?
All the photos they show to “prove” this—let’s be honest—are CGI composites. NASA even admits this! And if there’s supposedly some man floating in space, completely still, then why isn’t he filming the Earth with all the technology available today? Why aren’t we watching the Earth
spin away from him at these so-called incredible speeds?
Instead, what do we get? More CGI still images, time and time again. Come on.
And for all the true Christians out there who take the Bible seriously, what do you do with all the Scriptures that say the Earth is still and set upon a firm foundation—surrounded by a
firmament?
The word
firmament (Hebrew:
raqia) means an extended solid structure—like an expanse or dome—that divides the waters above from the waters below. It’s not just "sky" as modern translations twist it—it describes a solid barrier holding back waters above the Earth.
Here are some verses to consider:
Genesis 1:6-8
Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters! Let it divide the waters from the waters.” So God made the firmament, and it separated the waters that were below the firmament from the waters that were above the firmament. And it happened so. God called the firmament “sky.” So there was evening and there was morning—a second day.
1 Chronicles 16:30
Tremble before Him, all the earth! The world is firmly established—it cannot be moved.
Psalm 93:1
Adonai reigns! He is robed in majesty—Adonai is clothed with strength and girded around. Indeed, the world is firmly established—it will not be moved.
Psalm 104:5
He established the earth on its foundations, so it will never move.
Isaiah 40:22
It is He who sits above the circle of the earth—its inhabitants are like grasshoppers—He stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
So what do you do with those verses? Ignore them because they don’t fit modern science? Or accept that man has lied and God never has?
