I've failed nearly every Command at one time or another, but humans are a process and I am a process. Slowly I have moved this ignorant form into the semblance of a more agreeable being, but there is a long way to go and time is short. My children reflect that I at least got something right.
My point is that being human is very, very complex because we may be the most complex creature in the universe. As such, love thy neighbour . . . is the tiny tip of a massive iceberg of cultural, moral, legal, political, ethical, social, international, fiscal change into which this love must flow in very intricate and complex ways so that we produce a planet that is beginning to reflect the attributes deemed and promised to reflect heaven on earth.
Christian scripture has no specific solutions within its writings to solve todays problems, apart from the foundational message. That is not to say that Christ did not have the capacity to provide solutions 2000 years hence, the point was that Christ was ministering to the issues of His age. This age requires a new set of instructions.
