The overall theme, on the whole, of Ch 15 - Paul comforting those that have lost loved ones, with NO hint whatsoever, that their spirit or the likes, is already in the likes of heaven, so calm down guys lol.
So, a theme there is of, a literal raising from the grave, in some form.

5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

1 Thes 4:16,17 -
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. / After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.This is definitely referencing a literal grave, from what I'm seeing.
