In these last days = Simple, Heb 1:2 says God spoke 'in' the Son in these last days = AFTER HIS BAPTISM, IS CLEARLY THE LAST DAYS BEING SPKEN OF.
So, stay directly within the boundary's, timeline that the verse is clearly referring to.
The writer is Clearly speaking in the past tense.
has in these last days spoken to us IN His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
= John 14:10 - Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
The Son being a Spiritual Temple, making the way for us when the curtain was torn in the Temple on His death.
John 14:17 - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
