From the believers perspective, Moses was the Spiritual rock and at the time on earth, Moses was the ONLY way, the truth and no other way of getting to God.

Jesus was a historical figure.

He was not on earth during the time of Moses. He didn't even have a body at that time. He lived as a purely spiritual reality.

The Spiritual Rock is the Word and in the prologue it says the Word was made flesh and spoke the Word of God, but it makes no difference if Moses allegorically drank from the Word and so spoke the Word of God.

The Word of God is spoken and revealed in both cases.

Yes, the Christ is the same always.
