If we are all honest for a moment, really honest, how many illegal boat arrivals do you think we would have received by now had Shorten, Bowen, Wong, Plibersek, et al won the federal election last May?
Be honest with yourself, don’t just reflexively dismiss this question along your ingrained political bias.
The truth is, and we all know it, we would have had hundreds of boats by now with tens of thousands of illegal arrivals from Asia, Africa, the sub-Continent and the Middle East. Bringing with them goodness knows what levels of CV infections over the past three months.
And they would still be arriving today, in ever increasing numbers. It would be a HUGE mess, and an absolute disaster for our country.
Deep down you all know I’m right on this.
Borders matter, and hopefully we are all learning that now.
