I reckon religions have become redundant in this regard.
We have secular laws which should take precedence over religious ones; but tell that to the extremists who believe their god is the ultimate authority. What to do ?
Religion is a curse on humanity; religions create tribalism and divisions as each religion believes(falsely) it has a monopoly on the truth.
