i can't see what the problem is here todays!!
this is not a liability in the ordinary sense. It would only become a liability if the company went broke....ie it is a contingent liability. It has no relevance at all since if it goes broke owing 1 million or 7 million it will not make any difference to ordinary shareholders. But i am not an accountant so i could be wrong.
