This morning's excellent update and report from VRE is just the start of what surely lies ahead for the Company.
In addition to the already known, and reconfirmed/pointed out initiatives and positives, the opportunities for further growth for VRE will be stacking up on the not too distant horizon. To me, it's not just what is now known that is exciting - it's looking at the possibilities (officially alluded to/hinted at) that lie ahead for this emerging Company - soon to be a 'cash-cow' via both GOLD and NICKEL production AND continued exploration for both, and hence in the immediate future coming from a position of strength.
2008 is going to be a tough, tough year on the markets -
of that all financial advisors, analysts, fund-managers and the like all seem to agree. Equities in particular could prove to be the most vulnerable, given the sub-prime crisis and consequent fall-out still filtering through the system.
It's my prediction that there will be a flight to GOLD by the market very, very soon - with what has happened so far being just the tip of the ice-berg.
That said, VRE will now surely feature on major broking house future stock recommendations and bulletin boards, probably starting tomorrow once today's announcement has been taken in, scrutinised and fully digested.
Regardless, VRE will now attract a far more serious and stable shareholders register - which can only be good going forward.
Non-producing explorers in particular will be in for some extremely tough times ahead in 2008, and it is here that I can see some serious 'Value-Add' mergers and aquisitions being contemplated, and presented to the likes of View Resources - particularly those in the immediate vicinity of Bronzewing with proven reserves and with little or no hope of bringing them up to the production stage, given the high costs involved, lack of qualified personnel, and tightness of the credit markets.
Rest assured, the projected 4/5 year Bronzewing mine-life could/should well blow out and be sustainable for decade/s to come, markets dependent.
It's certainly not unfeasible to suggest that VRE holders could well get their first ever half-yearly dividend cheque by about this time next year, given what is cast in stone already.

Anyway, I can smell some CHOPS burning on the barbeque, along with a few SNAGGERS and ONIONS - so that's my lot for the time being.
