They provided an update in the last Quarterly too:
'As previously advised a public consultation meeting was held on 13 October 2021 and the State Aboriginal Heritage Committee considered the application for authorisation on 13 January 2022. The authorisation will ultimately be considered by the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, responsible for the Aboriginal Heritage Act, based on material collated by the Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation unit within the Department of Premier and abinet (DPCAAR) and feedback from the South Australian Aboriginal Heritage Committee, following their January meeting.
Taruga was expecting a decision in Q1 2022. However, the Company has now been advised by DPC-AAR that the procedural process is now being finalised prior to the report and recommendations being supplied to the Minister for consideration. Taruga is of the view that a decision is therefore now likely in Q3 2022.
Taruga is respectful of the process being undertaken by AAR and the State Government. The Company will continue to engage with the South Australian Government to seek a timely resolution of this matter.'
In my mind I wouldn't rely on any expectations of timeframe given by a bureaucrat ever. The government is not an efficient beast nor will it ever be. You can also check https://yoursay.sa.gov.au/flinders-project which provides an overview of the process, but note that this consultation site has not been updated since 13 October 2021.
Flinders is a critical opportunity for Taruga to create value. It is frustrating that it has taken so long to progress this however, what I admire about Thomas and the Board is that they haven't sat around wondering. They've simply got on with what they can and produced other targets and prospects in the region.
Taruga also has the Manjimup tenements that abut the Chalice and Venture Minerals tenements. 100%, early exploration and chasing Julimar Style Ni-PGE. Plus Meekatharra which has produced some smoke for PUA and are highly prospective for Nickel. PUA has an 80% earn-in and we're free carried the 20% (need to check the latter whether its to production or what).
There is lots to like here. Find me a Geo who is as enthusiastic as Tom and I'll park some money there. The only other one I know of is Dean Tuck at DRE.
