On the today show, Karl had had enough after trying 4 times to get Albo to answer a simple question about planned tax increases under a new labour government.
The fifth and final time Karl says "Is it YES or No? WILL YOU be raising taxes". Albo "We will be announcing our measures" .. waffle .. waffle.
Albo has already flipped and flopped over the question of negative gearing, he has also flipped and flopped over the question of the 'Buffett rule', which of course has never applied to Buffett or been implemented in the US. An untried and untested US tax proposal and Albo was going to give it a run here. Nice one centurion.
The one everyone is really worried about is the just announced democrat proposal to TAX UNREALISED GAINS. If Albo gets a hold of this one, what is that going to do to your way of investing. Paying taxes before you've even completed the sell side of a trade. And then what's that going to do to your superannuation planning and earnings?
Deficits as far as the eye can see, Albo spending like a drunken sailor, and he wants to raise taxes as well. Middle class taxation increases, vote Albo.
