I was concerned some years back about the wash up of plastic bags on the beaches south of Perth, particularly those beaches between Rockingham and Mandurah.
The place looked a real mess and the cause was not only beach fishermen but also boat fishermen who would discard their plastic bait bags into the ocean.
You dont see it that much these days, I guess people have learned, but it still does occur. It's not too much trouble to take your your rubbish with you and to discard it into bins onshore.
