Today's media is all about alarm and some people will instinctively over-react to this kind of coverage. Therefore adding volality to the market.
Volatilty is not such a bad thing as it gives the wiser or luckier a chance to get ahead of the pack.

I nearly bought another lot of QBE today but I thought I might wait until the storm has passed. It could be a bad move if it is more mild or misses the major cities.
Good luck to the people up there, my friends in Cairns assure me they have a good supply of beer so i'm quite confident they'll be ok!
