    Hi guys

There is no need to worry about the Cat being flooded. As I have mentioned several times before, the Cougar Energy site is high on the side of a big hill to the south of Kingaroy. Take a look at some of the photographs of the site itself - there is no risk of flooding there.

We had very heavy rain last night. I heard on the radio this morning that Coolabunia had over 140 mm. I drove out to Mount Wooroolin lookout (north western side of Kingaroy) very early this morning & took some photographs of the Stuart River. The water level was elevated but it does not come any where near town or the Cougar site and would only be classified as minor flooding. The Stuart River rarely runs as its origin is the Bunya Mountains only about 45kms from Kingaroy. Our average rainfall is around 750 mm per year.

There is a gully that commences near the bottom of the high hill where Cougar is located. It would have been flooded but on a very minor scale as opposed to the massive flooding in other areas of Queensland. If the Cougar site was flooded you would not be hearing from me as I would be under 10's of metres of water. With the slope of the land here the water is gone very quickly unlike places like Rockhampton & St George.

    Cheers guys.
