People in brissie have rushed the buses and turned up at rego places all over the city. They have had to be turned away. Lines to register were a km long in one I hear. At 6.30 I was at a golf club and assigned to the green at the first hole. Although nothing can compare to the houses etc that had gone under, it was still heartbreaking; mud as far as I could see. It took 25 of us nearly 3 hours to remove a reasonable portion of the mud from the green; and 3 of us just to clean the one bunker. Unfortunately there was no power and pressure hoses were not an option. As I drove home, the side of nearly every street was piled high with personal belongings; and I could see the same scene on the other side of the river. Sort of put my morning's exercise back into perspective. I trust Vic is not going to go through the same. cheers jwt
