Mr Gordon, yes every age comes w
ith a warning or an opportunity to listen to a Messenger of G.d and thus enter a covernant with G.d. This covernant, this protection from the flood of self and passion, immorality and materialism is like entering a mighty Ark before the storm of immorality breaks upon the world.

So while Jesus was saying that people in the age of Noah did not heed the warning given by Noah and in His age they were also not paying attention, the point is that the Ark was not a literal boat and the flood was not a flood of water. Symbolic devices are used to express a spiritual insight.

The literal Flood could not have happened and a literal Ark as described is impossible to build and there is no possible way of gathering two of every animal. The events as described in the Flood story are exactly the same as the events that effected Jesus. Both were ignored by the masses in their own lifetimes.

I understand that you have to read this story as literal regardless of how ridiculous this presents religion to educated people because you have a belief that the world is going to literally end. Nobody can help you with this but youself. It's your responsibility to try to understand the Bible as opposed to believing the nonsense others tell you.
