Flooding in China may result in higher food prices

    This probably needs it's own thread. It looks like after the African swine flu, China has been hit with a big flood and a drought. This may result in higher food prices for staples.

    China Flooding news. It has estimated that more than 1.5 million hectares of crops have been damaged and said direct economic losses exceed $3bn (£2.3bn).
