One of the reasons for moving over to the UK is to access the test facilities.  C6 was tested at the Edinburgh facility.

"How do you test a wave energy device in real-life conditions, without having to invest millions in making it and putting it in the sea? While several facilities which can imitate the forces at play in the ocean have long helped marine energy developers test and develop their devices, researchers at the University of Edinburgh have been contemplating for years how to build a technology which can more fully represent the conditions a device will face at sea.
"The ocean is quite a harsh place, and unforgiving," says Stuart Brown, chief executive of the FloWave ocean energy research facility at the University of Edinburgh. "Some of the earlier models that were tested and then became full scale devices and went to sea had premature or unanticipated failures because of the limited ability of the test facilities to really replicate the ocean in all of its complexity."
