The Flora and Fauna survey was conducted by J & J Tucker Environmental Solutions for the purpose of gaining approval for a Mining Proposal. The Flora and Fauna survey was based on extending work done by Outback Ecology Services in their 2003 report for Siberia Mining Company Limited to cover Halcyon’s proposed Patch-Gulch first pit project area. The survey identified no Priority or Declared Rare Flora or Fauna. The report also noted that the area was relatively weed free. Managing Director, Mr Tan said that the completion of the Flora and Fauna survey is an important step in the company’s objective to gain mining approval and commence mining by late Quarter 1, 2008, subject to suitable commercial arrangements with nearby laterite nickel producers. The feasibility study and development plans for a low-cost, low-risk starter project is well in progress and the Company expects to be submitting a “vegetation clearance application” and an “approval to mine” in the very near future.” Iggy Tan Managing Director About Halcyon Halcyon Group Limited is a Perth-based Nickel exploration company listed on Australian Securities Exchange, exchange code HCY.
